We are coming up on the 30-year anniversary of our company, and our parent company has been in operation for over 50 years, so we know we’re doing something right. We believe what we’re doing right is knowing that our employees are our most important asset and taking time out to show our appreciation and celebrate wins. Tucker Paving Employee Celebrations
Clean Cab Winners. Keeping a clean workspace is a must for safety whether you work in an office or drive a steamroller, excavator, motor grader, or bulldozer! We’ve been running our Clean Cab contest to recognize those employees who are taking the time and effort to keep the cab of these big machines clean. Employees who qualify get a Tucker Paving “Safety Scratch & Win” ticket to scratch off and receive a cash prize! See our Facebook page for announcements about weekly winners!
Appreciation Lunch and Giveaway. Tucker Paving crews show up to work every day and get it done. They work in the heat, doing an often dirty and physically tough job, and we appreciate every single one of them. To show our appreciation, Tucker Paving will often host a special lunch for our crews, like we did for the crews at the Hamilton Bluff housing development project in mid-August. We brought our crews tacos and ice-cold energy drinks, and we handed out brand new Carhartt lunchboxes. We’re happy to post all our appreciation lunches and giveaways on our Social Media pages!
DOT Inspection Celebrations. Many of Tucker Paving’s drivers have to pass DOT inspections every year, as commercial motor vehicles that weigh more than 10,000 lbs. must undergo annual DOT inspections. These inspections are meticulous, going over both the driver’s certifications and other documents and the vehicle’s condition, cargo securement, paperwork, and safety equipment. During August’s DOT inspections, all four of our Tucker Paving drivers passed with flying colors as there was not one write-up—meaning the DOT inspectors could not find one thing wrong!
To celebrate this amazing achievement, all four Tucker Paving drivers were recognized and given a Tucker Paving ‘Safety Scratch & Win’ ticket. Congratulations to them all, and especially to the driver who won $250 on their scratch off ticket! We were thrilled to share these drivers’ successes and rewards on our Social Media pages.
