It’s summer and Tucker Paving is as busy as can be! We’re proud to serve all of Central Florida and additional areas in the Southeast, and we’ve been providing a wide range of resurfacing and design solutions—including Earthworks like site clearing and demolition, hauling, underground utilities, and asphalt and concrete paving services—for over 30 years! We’ve had a busy few months, completing residential, commercial, and municipal projects.
Our Latest Projects
Alta Vista Elementary: We started demolition of the site in June, and underground utility crews started their work after the 4th of July; the end goal is an exciting new public-school campus. Tucker Paving was proud to be a part of this municipal project.
3rd Street NW Enhancement Project. Tucker Paving started work in late May in downtown Winter Haven to improve 3rd St NW. It’s a key corridor that runs through the heart of downtown. The goals of the project are to improve walkability, add traffic calming and intersection upgrades, enhance pedestrian features, create more on street parking, and refresh the roadway. Tucker Paving loves being part of projects that help our communities grow and connect.
Polk County Fire Rescue Regional Training Center. Team Tucker Paving handled underground utilities, earthwork, site prep, curb, sidewalks, and asphalt pavement at this new 29,000 sq. ft. facility in Bartow, finishing in May. The facility is being used to train current and future responders in fire rescue. We were honored to work on a facility that will have such an important impact for years to come.
Logistics Parkway & Pollard Road Extension Ph1. Our underground utilities crews wrapped up work on this expansion to the Logistics Center in Winter Haven in mid-May, and then the curb and road base crews got right to work! This project aims to expand access to the Central Florida Intermodal Logistics Center with a new two-lane road and all the trappings. Tucker Paving is happy to help build the infrastructure needed to support future jobs, distribution centers, and economic growth in the Central Florida community.
Winter Haven Recreation and Cultural Center. Numerous Tucker Paving teams worked on this one, alongside numerous others in the construction trades; we were responsible for the installation of waterline, sanitary sewer, storm drainage systems, and curb, sidewalk, and paving, and the entire center was completed in April. The state-of-the-art facility spanning over 37,616 square feet will serve as a hub for recreation, wellness, learning, and cultural enrichment for the Winter Haven community, and Tucker Paving couldn’t be prouder to have been a part of it!
